Live a Haiku Life

Welcome! My name is Kenneth Pearson, and I'm truly grateful that you've found this page. Combining my MFA in Creative Writing with an MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology, I bring a unique and heartfelt approach to leadership and mindfulness. My experience as the Digital Librarian of The Haiku Foundation, Facilitator of the Haiku Walk at Yume Japanese Gardens in Tucson, and author of two haiku collections has profoundly shaped me. Haiku has become a cornerstone of my life, teaching me to appreciate simplicity, presence, and the fleeting beauty of each moment.

I'm passionate about blending art and science to help individuals and organizations thrive. I believe that the art of haiku can remind us of what truly matters, creating a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.

My journey to haiku began several years ago during early morning walks with my German Shepherd/Akita, Kiera. Initially, writing haiku was solely about exploring syllables, sound, and structure as I prepared for a local haiku contest. But as I delved deeper into the art form, it became much more - it became a way to center myself and connect more deeply with the world around me.

The more present I became, the more I realized that haiku is not just poetry; it's a lifestyle and a mindset. I discovered that being mindful and present doesn't require writing haiku; it requires embracing the haiku mindset. This realization inspired me to develop the concepts that compromise of Live a Haiku Life, aiming to help others experience the transformative power of presence and simplicity.

For the past year, I have dedicated myself to crafting and developing The Haiku Mindset and The Haiku Leader programs. These transformative programs are designed to change how you perceive the world and each other, encouraging deeper connections and enhancing mindfulness in both personal and professional settings. I want to thank you for joining me on this journey. Feel free to explore how Live a Haiku Life can elevate and inspire your personal and professional paths, and please let me know if you have any questions along the way!
